Charging Battery

I have on 01 C320 with 8K miles on it so naturally the battery has lost it's charge. This is the first problem I have had with it. I do have a battery charger but wanted your opinions on whether I should replace the battery. Any ideas of how much a MB battery runs & is it better to have the dealer replace it rather then myself. I've searched the forums & it sounds like there could be issues replacing myself. I dunno, the manual has instructions on & usually if the manual has instructions they feel anyone can do it.
I was looking under the hood and could not see what is holding the battery on the tray? I hope there is not some sort of bolt on the underside. Anyone replaced one? Would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

depending on your in service date it should be included in your warranty a battery in the dealership runs about 150 and one in auto zone about 70 i guess you have to make a decision on taking the chance

Check the electrolyte level before you toss the battery. I just replaced mine after 6 years but didn't realize it was low on electrolyte until I already bought the new one and had the old one out of the car. After topping it off, it has been running in my wood chipper all summer.

I called the dealer to see if I was still in Warranty & of course that went out July 31st. The dealer said a battery was $110 & labor would bring the bill to $200. They suggested I have Roadside do it. Who is roadside, are they MB mechanics or is it just a generic service?
Thanks for you responses, I will check the electros & see if a charge holds.

Battery replace....

call MB roadside assistance. They'll bring the battery to you, replace it, and do the procedures for the different systems that need resynching. And no labor charge.
