C230K Coupe '04
Newbie Member!

Greetings everyone,

I don't own but I do drive a C230 K coupe (still in college). I know there's a difference between owning and driving. But I love the car and by far I am definitely impressed by the performance/handling/quality. Not like some cheap civic where you spend another 10 grand upgrading the cheap thing. Anyway I just wanted to throw a wild question out there,

Is it possible to swap a C55 //AMG engine into this coupe?

comments, answers, ideas, are welcome.

That would be crazy. But I am not for sure if this is possible. Why would you want to do this anyways ? Does that sound reasonable ?

"You don't own but drive a C320 coupe" Is it stolen ? ..or are you saying your parents bought it for you..

As for you question I don't think so based on the size of the coupe's engine bay..but I might be wrong so best thing is to do a "search" since this question was probably asked b4..

C55 AMG is a NA (Naturally/Normally aspirated) V8 engine. It borrows the front end of the CLK. If you look at pictures carefully, you can tell that the C55 has a longer front end and slightly different headlights.

Now, as for performance mods, there are a few performance mods that can be done to a 320 engine (I believe the engine # is M112, but not positive). No matter what, I'm sure you can search for "performance mods" in the w203 forums and find all the information possible.

From what I remember, even a C32 engine swap would be a P.I.T.A. (Pain in the ***). Continue reading/searching on these boards and I'm sure you'll find a lot of useful information.

Talking

Hehe yes. My parents bought it for me. And as far as mods I would like a chip, suspension, and larger rims. But I am definitely planning on doing my hw first on all these mods before I touch anything. Thanks for the welcome and comments!
