Any Local MB Dealer parts counter. It's called a Coupe flat hood badge, part #A 6388170116 ($10 or so), and the sedan adapter kit ($15 or so) sorry I don't have that part number.

I called the dealership and they said that while they do carry the coupe flat badge, they've never heard of the sedan adapter. Anyone have the part #?

Ask your dealer what comes with the $25 SLK flat hood badge. When I asked for it at my dealer they simply brought out two separate bags, one with the badge the other with the adapter. I didn't know they were separate. You could also call the dealer, talk to the BODY shop, and ask them which MB coupes require the adapter, then ask for that one.

Here's another thread showing a diagram of the adapter pieces. You could print and take this to the dealer to show them.diagram thread

I took this diagram to the dealer and he told me the SLK is only held via the badge and 2 plastic holders. They told me there was no adapter....... wtf? We look at CLK, SLK, and C coupe diagrams and they said they didnt show the part. Is it an aftermarket part that maybe the dealers out in CALI due to demand?

Sorta related, is there such a thing as a "Black" flat hood badge???? Every one I've seen has blue around the outside and I thought it would look really good in black on a silver, grey or white car.

I think the CLK, SLK and C coupe all have flat badges to begin with, so the badge plugs directly into the hood, whereas on the C Sedan, it has to have the adaptor in order for the badge to be mounted (because it comes with a stock raised emblem). That mount is the aftermarket part, but the badge is OEM (at least, the one sold by formymercedes.com). I hope that makes sense.

Brabus emblem is Black for the most part. I'm pretty sure they have fake Carlsson and Lorinser ones as well, which are both black. All of them have a chrome trim and the lettering is white/silver, but the majority of the emblem is black.

Yah man... that's what I had thought until a few members here that they had bought their adapters at the dealer. I should have realized you SOCAL guys are lucky as always......... we get the inbred local yocals at the dealer who barely stock OEM parts.... sigh. I just finished ordering it from formymercedes.com
