Window Problem?

Sometimes, when either i am rolling the windows down or up... It goes half way up or down or something like that? Now is that a feature to only open half way? if so how do i do it on purpose... or is it an error? thanks

Do you stop turning the crank too soon Try synching your windows. Take each window to upper limit by pulling and holding button up then keep holding it for at least a second after it stops.

A box on 4 wheels
My car does that too, i thought it was a safety feature or something. It only does it once every hundred times though.

i just tried that, now lets see if it works... i wasnt sure when to let go, so i put the window down, then rolled it up... let go of the button, then pulled the button up til i heard a click... i did that for each window... is that right?

The way it's described in the owners manual is to pull on the button and keep holding it for 1 second more after it stops at the top/fully closed.

pinch protection. you have to have it on windows with auto up feature so you dont kill someone.

if the window is dragging, sticking or something on the way up, the pinch protection feature will tell it to go down. also this happens to me if i go over a speed bump or into a drive way too fast while the windows are on they way up using the one touch up.

My windows sometimes do this when I hold the unlock button down to let out the hot air. Sometimes it goes down halfway and other times all the way. Very inconsistent. Weird!

There's no 'sensor' for window position. And I doubt it's the 'no pinch' feature....have you ever tried to hold the window to activate it? I replaced a window regulator for a similar symptom and in my research found that the regulators are high failure parts. If your car is under warranty definitely take it in.

I'm getting this problem with my sun roof. One touch close stops about halfway and then re-opens.

i had that problem too, the dealer said the control module had to be replaced (the thing where the button is located i think?) and it had to be reprogrammed. took two visits to the dealership, the first time the fix only lasted for a couple days.
