Should my armrest adjust?

From looking at a couple of pic's and reading the owners manual, it would seem that the armrest level is adjustable. When I open, then close my armrest, it pauses then clicks several times to the stop, as if there would be settings there, but it slides past them. (05 230K sedan)

Is it adjustable and mine is bum from the factory, or is it only one setting?

With the armrest closed, pull up on the handle. Then slowly raise the armrest (while continuing to pull up on the handle). You should feel it click into one of several slightly raised positions. Let go of the handle, and the adjusted incline position should remain. FYI, every time I open and close the console I have to reset the incline position.

My 05 has 3 settings. My 06 only has 1.

I think it changed somewhere in between. Doombot, do you have a late model 05?

I can vouch for that - My 06 has no adjustable armrest... and a much bigger deep pocket than a friend of mine's 04 -- I found out why - no separate blower speed control for the back air vents - just a limiter...

Hmm...they seem to be stripping away several features as the years progress.

I'm assuming so, it was put in service only in the past 6 months. I have only one "open" and "closed". I can feel where it wants to stop, but it passes right though that.

While I like the extra storage space I find the armrest too high and uncomfortable to rest my arm on. I like to keep my hand in proximity to the shifter lever even being an automatic. It does suck that it's not adjustable.
