FIRST MB "ME B Happy" Forums Helpful. thks a couple of?s

I bought a 2004 C230 coupe on internet. Great condition, low milegae. LOVING IT. Great car for the city.. whipping in and of spots. Love the wheels. It's much sportier and heavier than I thought it was going to be. THANKS alot to you folks on the boards.

And I HAVE utilized Search quite alot to get answers on my wanting to get an iPod installed, mirrors, etc I haven't figured out if tele-aid can be installed aftermarket.

Anyway I do have a couple of easy questions. The door keeps getting it on the wall by the parking attendants. It hits the pointy part of the door that sticks out. I went to auto store the all the stuff they have wouldn't fit over the wide angle and space it takes up. Anyone know of a place that sells a protector that would fit over this ridge in door?

Also I took the aftermarket wheel/tire warranty after reading some horror stories about potholes in NYC (where I'm at). It did seem that most cars were bigger heavier cars with bigger wheels. I still have a month to cancel and get full refund on warranty so wandering what you all think of road hazard warranty in NYC. And if you use it much!

Thanks again all!!

welcome! i dont think Tele-Aid can be retrofitte, and if it can it would be very costly. i suppose is possible with enough $$$, its just there sometime reaches a point where cost outweighs practicality.

how much was the warranty for the wheels? depends on on how much you drive and how bad the potholes are in your area.

i dont trust parking attendents, though this doesnt mean you shouldnt protect your door. show pics of the area you are trying to protect. are talking about the lower cornder, below the impact molding?

I've had that problem, though I simply resign myself to painting over the white that shows up periodically with touch-up paint. :p

You can try and place clear plastic strips adhering to the side molding. Most asian automotive shops carry those types of things. I'd get parktronic in NYC since parking there sucks. That would be the most useful upgrade in a metropolitan neighborhood where parking is difficult.
