HELP! 02 C240 Problems, Car Stops Responding!!
I have recently purchased a 2002 C240 with 30k Miles still under factory warranty which is still good for another 2 weeks, Yesterday I was driving when the car just stopped responding. The RPM stayed at 2000 RPM then dropped to 800 rpm, transmission was stuck in a gear and the Accelerator Pedal was not working (electronics SUK 
), the car would coast at 2 mph on idle, it felt like it was misfiring, maybe like 3 cyls working. If you turn the car off and Start it, it would have a hard time starting it cranks for like 5 seconds, and fires up and if you put it into drive it will coast a little bit but accelerator wont do anything, it showed and Electrical sign and shut off. If you wait 10 minutes and start the car it drives fine and then the same thing happens, so i disconnected the battery for 10 mins and reconnected it, it drove like its brand new, hasn't done anything sense, but i have taken it down to mercedes to have checked, would anyone happen to have an idea on what it is????? I Love the car but don't want it to give me problems

i've mentioned this on other posts, but i get similar problems. i believe it is due to the bad alternator which there was a recall but has yet to be implemented to the consumer. already had several things changed except the alternator which include ( i might miss one) starter, keys, fuel pump, i forgot the rest. your case could be exactly like mine or could be different.
if the problem is the alternator and the recall finally arrives to the c-class owners, even though the warranty of the car maybe up, you will still get a new alternator without any charges. so i suggest changing something else (or everything)

my warranty is up in 3 weeks or so, and i would like everything fixed, dealers sometimes miss things or are more retarded then the average consumer, the only thing that helped was reseting the ECU, do toy guys know if the FAULT codes would still be recodred to the black box eventhough i disconnected the battery? I love my baby but i am scared ****less of getting stuck with a lemon, ill keep u guys updated with more info. thx 4 ur help!

i don't see how are you going to get stuck with a lemon. you are not the first owner of this car. if it was a lemon the previous owner would've made claim with MBusa.
i don't get why you didn't bring it in to the dealership when this happened or call the road side assistance. all the information should've been in your owner's manual. if the Error code is lost when you disconnected the battery good luck on getting the problem fixed some dealership tech don't look at stuff other than what's on the star-diagnostic.

Call roadside
Call the 800 number, get it towed to the dealer and fixed, before you have to pay for every repair needed, AND the tow! If you get it to the dealer now, it will be covered by the warranty- if it's one day past the warranty you can get out your check book!!

while in the car, you don't check if your ear hairs, or your nose hairs are sticking out and such and pushing them back in?
in the driver side sunvisor mirror.......

I Drove the car to the dealer the same day, and they have had it ever sense. My service advisor hasnt told me much except for some type of hickup in the ECU. It Has Some other probs, the drivers seat move around a bit, AC smells like ****, No Reception, and when u turn the defrog on back on u cant hear anything at all. Thats about it
