and in the ashtray? like in with that metal piece? isnt annoying takin coints out? i was thinkin just takin that metal piece out and store the coins there...

The 2004.5 and prior models have a cup holder that is hidden (sliding lid that covers/uncovers the area the cup holder is located in). When you slide the lid back to uncover the cup holder, there's a small area that has the cigarette lighter and a 10 slot (?) change holder.
I don't have any pics right now, but I'll take some when I get home in a couple hours. If anybody has interior pics of this, could you post when you get a chance.

i kno what you talkin about... yea, the 06 doesnt have that, they have the pop up thingy... i like the cover up one better... oh well

as of now, i just toss them in the smaller armerst flap... it just gets annoyin when i have to open the big one, and u hear all the coins go everywhere... but i guess there isnt much to do bout it

Here's another option...
I was searching for the plastic pencil cases that you could easily cut a hole on the top to drop in coins and place on the top portion of the center console, but I found these also:

These didn't looked like they would fit perfectly in the top portion of the center lid.
Another thing I was thinking might work for you guys is a pill organizer (just a generic one without the day marked). This way, it could be placed in the center lid and you could seperate them by type of coin (i.e. quarter, dime, nickel, penny and or whichever coins are prevalent for those outside of the US).
