Yes it's possible, much much easier with a 6speed manual. I can prob hold my burnout till my tires are gone. Press the ESP OFF button, hold the break, rev the engine up. Then release the break pedal until only a little bit of it is being applied.

lol its tough to do in these cars theres too much nanny action involved.... maybe im doing something wrong but the standard "turn esp off then brake and hit gas" method gets nothing for me maybe ill get a half second of wheel spin then the revs drop and the esp light flashes

Dyno Mode might actually help you out with that. Doing it with an automatic is a lot harder especially when these cars don't have that much power...

i do it when threads are gone, right before i'm getting new tires. the tires are going to get disposed of anyway so might as well have some fun before you put the new shoes on (note: this type of fun could ruin your transmission and have an annoying 'check engine' light on till a service tech takes it off)

Actually quite easy to do with the automatic... but I have the 2002 C230 Coupe with the 2.3, so maybe that makes a difference? I can easily smoke the rear tires by torque-braking the car and ESP switched off. Use your left foot to hold the brake (not too hard, just enough to keep the car from rolling forward) and use the right foot to apply throttle. I've got 225/45-17 BF Goodrich G-Force Sports (pretty sticky) and they smoke up very well. This isn't something I do often... just when I'm having a bad day at the office and want to vent some frustration in the company parking lot.

Its kind of easy. Hold the brake and gas with ESP off. Tire spin and lots of smoke. Dry it should hold through first and wet I have gotten into third with tires still going.

make sure you put bleach under your rear tires first. If you didn't that might be the problem.

You can do it with your 3.2. I've seen someone else on the forums with a 270? that span out his tires quite brutally.

Still, I wouldn't want to do it, lots of wear and tear on the drive train plus it's expensive on the tires.

yes you can do it on a C class but you have to get a C32 or a C55 to get a real good burnout

I woundnt do a neutral drop on a automatic you will need a new tranny if you do it after 3 or 4 times i would do brake torque

Ive done burn outs before on my 05 c230....just gotta put it in dyno-mode hold down the brake enough to not move and get on the gas....you cant neutral drop on the C or the M with an automatic tranny...I tried...it waits till the revs go down then gets in gear.

And unfortunately Dyno Mode or not, the manual has a 4k RPM limit so you can rev it up past that unless you're going about 3-5 mph...
