Depends on the MY of your car, I guess... There is a price difference for D2B comands compared to DVD comands, and Euro vs US. At least, if you purchase one from MBenzNL.

Navi: yes. With modified NA nav.discs.
Movie: no. Not in the way movie DVDs work in W211 E-classes, for instance.

As I have spoken to Steve earlier, it is NOW possible to have video in motion in the 209 and 203 Euro DVD comands. I have it in my car now. You will still require a tuner to hook a dvd player to the euro comand though unlike the 211 Comand as wanda mentioned.. which has a dvd player built into the comand itself.

So it'll cost me around 2500 bucks plus install or does that include install? Big Sis how much is he selling it for and does he come around here in the US. I own a C240 2005 model is that considered a W203?

Where is 'here' in the US? Steve visits the US frequently, CA in specific. But he also goes to Chicago (and Toronto - not US, I know), East Coast, and TX occasionally. And to any other location in the US, as long as travel expenses get compensated.

Our comand units get offered for one price, which is either including shipment or including installation.

Wanda, do you know when Steve's next trip out to L.A. is gonna be? I'm trying to put the budget together, so depending on when that is going to be, I may be getting my comand (but just depends on what month you guys are anticipating).

ps...If you guys are anticipating sometime in February, it might be too early for me. If it's somewhere around March/April, I'll most likely be in for the next install date.

Drex, Steve will probably go to CA in Jan / Feb again - which will be his first US trip for 2006. Don't know when he will be going for his second trip, but I think that will be some time during spring...

US spec comands do NOT have movie DVD capability. Only the Euro spec DVD comands have movie DVD capability (like the W211, W219, R171, W220...). The Euro W203 DVD comand does have the possibility to get a TV tuner connected, which can be used to hook up a DVD player.

I spent XMAS weekend doing my Comand install after several weeks of research, getting the parts (and nerve) together. It is doable, but if you do not like taking your car apart, follow the advice of others and call Steve. I have heard that he can do it in a few hours and you know it will be right. And, if something goes wrong when doing it yourself it can get VERY expensive. If you do it do the research , follow the advice of others and ask questions as 2am in the garage is not the time to try and find answers!
