18" rubbing?

Hi guys,

This is my buddy's '01 c240. He just got the 18" lorinser reps, and H&R springs. He's rubbing in the rear occasionally. It rubs bad with passengers in the back. The guy at the rim/tire shop said he had bad shocks. His car is an '01. Is this normal? A MBZ service rep said because his car is lowered, there's more pressure on the shocks. anyways, he's at MBZ service so they can check it out. Just wanted to get some feedback from the board.

pardon the pics, they're taken with a treo.

i think it might be the offset. i know for 19"s the offset should be 32 in front, and 35 in the back. is it the same for 18"s?

Yes, that is the same offsets that I have on my 18"s and I have no issues with rubbing whatsoever.

Cheers!

I think he may have the wrong offset. He's got H&R springs. As you guys can see from the pics, it's not overly too low. I know someone at at Sprewell, we'll bring it there to see what can be done, or if the offset is wrong.
