Does anyone know this seller so he can be trusted? I'd hate to get burned on buying a pair. BTW, I would be thinking of installing these on my w203 05 ss. Is there any drawbacks other than the dealership giving me **** if they started acting up ? Any info regarding this is appreciated. Thx

Anyway, answer to your question.
I think these lights are great for the price! I would definitely go for it if i were you. The quality seems great from the pictures, but they wont be MB quality. But for the price, definitely a killer deal that will give you the satisfaction that you're looking for out of these lights

My guess is that these are made by the same people that made the black ones. So far I haven't heard any complaints about those... ?

There are two company made these projectors this one is same as the black one. I have seen these two different projector in person, I prefer the one DEPO made, its a bit better than this one. just my 2 cent.

C55 has different headlights than the rest of the C sedans. The close up pictures are headlights for C230, C240, C320, C32 sedans, but not for C55. Take a look at the car pictures.. the black one is C55, the granite grey below it is C32, and the silver on the bottom is C55. The headlight shape on C55 is different.
So when he claimed that the headlights would fit C32 and C55, you can tell that the seller doesn't know jack about C-class headlights. I wouldn't spend any money on it.

If i didn't drive a C-class i wouldn't know that the C55 has the CLK Front End.
I still think this is a good deal!

They're just selling the bixenon STYLE housings. Not real bixenons.
Of course there are no ballasts and HID bulbs included. Now look at the granite grey car pic again, take a look at the turn signals, they look different than the ones on the close up pics. Another inconsistency.

Well no doubt these headlights will improve the look of your car. It's just the info could be slightly misleading for some people. Again these are NOT real bixenons.. they just look like one. Below is the pic of OEM bixenon assembly, and you can see the differences. I would try to find a pair that looks similar to OEM.. but that's just MHO.

Installed
I took this past weekend and installed the projector housings mentioned above along with a new Mtec 6000K HID kit. While I know this is personal preference and there are several choices, I think it came out pretty good. The install was pretty straight forward - with many thanks to postings in this forum. The HID kit really was plug and play with no coding issues or error codes. The lights work great at night and even during the day the new housings give the car a new look. I am happy with the choice. Total price was somewhere around $750 for the new housings and the HID kit.

I'll be the gadfly here... if you shoehorn an HID kit into an assembly designed
and made for H7 halogen, doesn't matter how good it looks cosmetically. The
beam and lighting pattern will still be crap. This is, of course, based on kits
using H7 and rebasing for HID. Halogen projector vs HID projector lens as
well as their respective projector bowls are designed differently...and geared
towards the technical specs of the bulb. In this case, glare and ill mannered
beam pattern results.
I'd be interested in seeing a photo of your beam pattern. Happy to eat my
words if you've successfully matched HID kit with the Depo halogen lighting
system.

Good point. Not something that I had knowledge of before I started this project. I will try to find a place to take a pic of the pattern and see what everyone thinks. If it is off at least everyone else will know what they are getting into before they spend the $$$.

But don't forget these headlights cost about half less than the oem HID kit. for the money I save, I will accept the different on beam pattern. Its like those people drive a Mercedes S class will not get a E or C class. I can't afford a new S class so I am getting a C class instead. I am sure S Class is a lot of nicer than a C230 SS. But hey I spent $30K and feel the C class is worth the money !
hoping that this information will help others when costing such conversions
out. Zam2000, I and a few others here have taken bixenon E55s and dropped
them into E320 Depo cases for the same price. What I don't know is how
well they fit into the W203 Depo cases. They are practically drop-in, as
the E55 projectors are near exact mounting dimensions.
So next time, if anyone here picks up a Depo for the C230 et al, give a
shout out and let's see if we can help give you some kick *** lighting
in more cost efficient fashion. As I recall, ballasts, bix projectors, bulbs,
Depo came to $800. Add $10 for silicone sealant.
(more on sealing later)

Beam pattern
I tried my best to get a pic of the beam pattern as discussed. Looking at the picture, I am not sure what is causing the mountain like shape heading off to the passenger side. This was about 1 car length from the wall with just the low beams on in a fairly well lit parking garage. I have not had time to really mess with these...maybe some adjustments are in order. Thanks for everyone's input...

That so called Mountain shape is an on-purpose design in order to help illuminate, on your right street signs, pedestrians, don't blind oncoming traffic on your left, etc.
