2006 c class
Just wondering how you can have a 2006 car, as well we arent there yet
Or is it different spec.? If so how do i know if mmine is 2005 or 2006, as mine is only 2 weeks old?

Perhaps it is different in the Motherland, but here in the States it is common practice for auto manufacturers to release new model years well before the calendar year actually begins.
Times usually vary from August to December of the prior year.
To complicate matters, changes/updates are often made to vehicles mid-year before the new model year officially is released. I have one such vehicle, referred to here by board members as a 2004.5 (not an MB official title). These cars were updated from the early 2004's but also different than the 2005's that arrived later on.
Anyway, I'm not sure what cosmetic or substantive changes MB made to your particular vehicle for 2006 (particluarly for your locale), but a search of the forum may reveal an answer. Most likely there will be a few changes from 05 that you will be able to notice visually.

Things like the TITLE, WINDOW STICKER, and as someone else mentioned...the owners manual are pretty good indications of what MY car you have...in case you were sleeping when you bought it.

I have read that in the Euro area that the cars have to be labelled as the year built not like NA Model Year stuff. Even though your car would be a 2006 in the US it is a 2005 in Europe...
