Question Radio volume seems to go and down?

I have a C240 2002 with the stock radio and just got the CD changer installed....and I'm pretty sure that when I have the volume set kind of high, when I come to a stop, the volume seems to automatically lower....does anyone else perceive this or heard of something like this?

yes. speed (or rpm maybe) dependent volume. pretty common in a lot of cars. i found it annoying and had it turned off.

note that bose's audio pilot system is different and i don't know how to have that turned off.

see coupe faq for more info (should apply to sedans also)
