trunk light is out
ok, the trunk light is not working. nothing in the manual is mentioned about replacing it.
the light i'm talking about is the one located in the trunk, NOT on the trunk lid that has a light blinking green OR any lights on the exterior. this light helps you see your stuff if you are taking them out at night. I tried removing the cover and I had trouble, i ended up with a interior scratch on the car body (sigh).
any help is greatly appreciated.
funny thing is....the dealers always say they "replaced a control module" for every problem you bring in it in for!

If your light just comes on and off, it maybe a simple replacement of the bulb or a bad wire hook up. Check and see if anything else in the rear (like the green light) is having trouble blinking green. It may be more than a light problem.
I saw the tech open the light bulb casing. It was rather difficult. Make sure you using a something flat, thin and non-metallic (to not scratch interior paint) to pry open the casing from the short sides.
Here are some pics of the trunk light from my 2003 c230k sedan for those that are are struggling to remove theirs. I resorted to moderate brute force... sucky thing is that there is no voltage at the connector and the bulb is fine. Is there a fuse number for this and where is the actuator for the light?
