i bought this grill and i just can't get it on right... 
having problems with the hood latch...plz help...thanx!

Yeah, I bought a similar one to this one for the W220...I sent it back not only because I did not really like how it looked in the end but also because the hood latch is unreachable. You will basically have to let the latch sit behind the star and if you want to open the hood, you will have to get a tool, reach inside and pull the latch forward from the joint on the latch arm...PITA if you ask me.
Alternatively, cut a whole in the top right third of the star to allow the latch to pop through.

I bought the CL style grill from formymercedes.com and had them include the extended latch and I still had the same problem that jtc230 is talking about. It was a PITA so I ended up going back to the stock grill.

I also got mine from formymercedes.com and with the extended latch. It's a little bit longer than the original latch, thus I can reach for it without having to stick my hand in there. Here are some pics of how it looks:
