I tried to turn off the alarm system...just to try it.....anywasy it doesnt turn off? i followed the manual but the lights just keep on blinking ...has anybody tried to turned off their alarm system? how did you do it?

 

may I ask... why?

 

I've tried my alarm a couple of times by pressing "panic" on the key fob. I just pressed it again to turn it off. If you set it off by opening a door, I think you have to insert the key into the ignition to shut it off.

 

one time when i parked and locked my car somewhere at 17 mile drive, the alarm mysteriously went off when i disarmed it and opened the door.

maybe the chil wind from the pacific ocean confused the alarm system . but its siren sound is much better than those stupid repeating horns from other brands

 

i jst what to find out how to disarm it....caus eyou know there is this tow button and the dealer told me to disarm the alarm before towing the car...and it doesnt seem to work...

 

just insert key and start car.

 

Just insert key in ignition. The owner's manual tells all...

 

I thought that the tow button only stopped the alarm from going off if the car was lifted. I don't think it totally shuts down the alarm system.
