Help me please!

I've a Mercedes C Class Sportcoupè 220 (year 2001). When i bought this car there was installed the Audio 10 system. Now I want to install the Command Navigator system and I bought it on eBay (with GPS antenna).
Therefore I've Command and GPS antenna yet!!!
Some day ago I went in Mercedes to install it but they said me that to install it i need some other eletronic device and the total price to install it is 3000 Euro!!!!!
Is that true?? I realy need this? If yes, what i need to install it? Where can i found this (at better price)?

You will need the C1/C2 connectors to replace the C connector you currently have. There's some instructions on my website if you want to do it yourself. Antenna tucks in between the dash and instrument panel so you may want to get the MB instrument cluster removal tool, about $15 US. 3000 Euro sounds a little high, may 30 euros is fair.
