+38 offset 18" rim what spacers for AMG brake clearance??

+38 offset 18" rim what spacers for AMG brake clearance??
I may be buying a set of rims from someone, but their rims are 18's with an offset of +38 what size spacer will i need to clear my front AMG brakes? Please help!!

Well, my 18" AMG wheels have 30 offset, with a width of 7.5" up front. I've got lots of room between my spokes and calipers. I think you could clear the brakes with as high as 35 offset, but not sure about 38. That might be cutting it pretty close. And unless I'm mistaken, it also depends how wide your wheels are, not just offset.

At least 5-7 mm, depending on the tire. I currently running on 19s with 38 offset all around. used 7.1 mm on the fronts with stock suspension, with the Teins CO I'm using 12.1 mm on the fronts. Good luck bro.

Thanks for the info. They are supposily 18.5's and he has 225/40/18's on the front rims. I have 5mm H&R spacers, but not sure if that is enough, i prefer no spacers but want to see if these will fit. Do not want to waste time removing my wheel to test fit. Thanks!!

Install the wheel/tire and rotate the wheel. If it rotates freely you're fine. If not, then use the spacers.

Actually they are 18" rims with 8.5" +38 offset.
