Broken Door Handle
Hey guys, I ran a search but didn't find anything. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
The outside door handle on my 2003 C240 still works, but no longer sits flush with the key hole.
The car is off warranty so I'm willing to give disassembling it a shot. I couldn't find any way to remove the handle from the outside. Do I have to remove the inside panel to get to it? Any help would be appreciated.

that happened to me. drivers side: the outside door handle gets messed up. passenger side: the inside door handle gets messed up.
at first i thought my case was isolated, but same problem with my sis and friend's car happened on the same side. really weird.
btw, they replaced entire door handle (it was so nice and shiney, with no scratches)

After about an hour I got it.
If anyone else runs into this problem, the broken peice is a plastic ledge on the door handle's return spring. I had to buy a new door handle bracket (part 180 in the parts dept. schematic, $44) It could only be accessed by removing the inside door panel.
