I wouldn't necessarily say that Blow off valves are "ricer" because they actually serve a purpose for performance on a turbo car.
As for putting a blow off valve on a car that won't have any use for it? I personally wouldn't even bother.
Now, if there is anything that can be put on a car that a lot of turbo'd cars use, it would be a turbo timer. It's just a way to allow the engine to cool down if you have been running it hard. There isn't a turbo to cool down in the 230 K or C32, but the engine's power is boosted, so allowing the engine to cool down is always a good idea if you can.

first of all BOV ain't rice, it's not a useless mod which drex has already explained.
second, most s/c engine doesn't need one. If you have a aftermarket Vortec s/c you can probably use one. i.e. that one CLK430 cabrio.

From my basic knowledge of forced induction engines, BOVs aren't applicable for supercharged engines because there isn't a turbine that can stall when you suddenly shut the throttle. With a turbo engine, the BOV stops backflow of gas over the turbine, allowing it to continue to spin freely (no exhaust gas to drive it at this point). This helps in 2 ways: (a) reduce shock to the turbine when you have high levels of boost, and (b) giving you reduced turbo lag if you happen to get back on the throttle fairly rapidly.
In supercharged engines, the compressor wheel is driven by the crankshaft, hence response is instantaneous. The bypass will also take care of the shock problem if you have high boost.
Is this diagnosis correct? Any engineers out there who can verify?

You got a roots style supercharger that doesn't need a BOV. You should drop a 50 shot of nitrous on your whip. Don't sweat the BOV, let 'em sweat your NOX purge. Now that would be sikk! Got rice?

of course !!! No cars are allowed in 3 Fast 3 Furious without NOS if theres where you are heading to. Oh dont forget to pick up one of those ridiculously big picnic tables made out of aluminum to go on your trunk...you will need those extra down force for that serious power added. Good luck, I cant wait to see a C230 in a movie. Way to go !!!!

You have a vortec supercharger, like what FrankW mentioned, right?
c230 o5
Go big, get NOX and be the first benzo on fast-n-furious! Let 'em sweat your nitrous purge! You already have forced induction, go with the naws add-on.

No use for adding a BOV to the car - it's already got a bypass valve that dumps the extra air... which is essentially the same thing. The difference being is a BOV dumps the extra air into the environment, while a bypass valve dumps it back into the system (I believe ours dumps it back into the airbox... mmmmm hot air).
It is necessary, because you don't want a ton of air being dumped into the cylinders after you let off the gas from WOT. The S/C is still turning at high RPM, so the air has to go somewhere.
Turbo timer would be pointless on our cars. They're main purpose is to cool the turbo. Yes, it does help cool the engine a bit too... but w/o it, you can cause damage to the turbo internals - which is the main concern. The S/C in our case doesn't have the same problem... no need for a turbo timer.

Just record the sound a blow off valve makes onto an audio CD or cassette tape, turn up the stereo volume, and push play. Costs less than a dollar and you get the same effect. :p
Make sure you press play when you floor the pedal, not at idle. Push that play button at the right time... :p
