A/C Problem

I have an A/C problem. I cannot change the direction of the vents from shooting on my feet. It will shoot the air out of the center vents and the dash vents, all while it is constantly shooting the air down at my feet and it is driving me nuts. Has anyone come accross this problem before and is it a simple fix?

do you have the digital climate control? not sure if that matters, but turn the knob to force the air to come out of the other areas.

I have the turn knob unit. It is not the digital climate control.

The knob is an electric switch. When you turn the switch, an actuator gets orders from a controller to move the door for the floor vents. The actuator arm breaks more frequently than it should. You need to replace the actuator assembly if the arm is kaput. Other less likely things to consider is something jammed in the door, or a connector to the actuator unplugged or corroded.

My wife says you should wear shoes, then you won't feel it on your feet.
