ipod unit

how much u all pay, my bro in law put it in my c320, says he paid 700 , i guess for unit and labor?

I paid roughly $550. (not including the ipod of course) The kit was about 300 and installation was $250.

Does the ipod unit allow you to control the ipod from the stereo without having to touch the ipod?

You can lock the iPod in the glove box. The steering wheel buttons control the song selection and volume. The track is displayed on the multifuntion display next to the tach. Kit retails for $299, but insist on a discount, and get it for $250. Takes an hour or two to install. Keep in mind the sound is the same as if you used the $30 aux input cable. If you do install the iPod kit, you cannot install the aux input cable.
