Air conditioner problem

Air conditioner problem
I own a C 200 K (sedan, 2000).
It worked fine except for a complete malfunction of the air conditioner when the car was new. It is equiped with analogic automatic control (two round knobs to set the temperature).
The system put out hot air instead of cold in some of the outlets and some others work fine. When i say hot i mean more than outside temperature.
After two month of trouble the car dealer finally found that resetting the device by software (one of the options of the diagnostic equipment) the problem was solved.
More than a year has pased by and the system works fine but i'm next to arrive to the guarantie end, so i want to know if anyone had experimented the same, and have need hardware solutions- simply to be prepared.

No, I havn't heard of anyone here having trouble with the climas blowing hot air from some vents and cold from others. I think the software update was the correct solution.
