U know what my dumbass didn't try....I didn't try flipping it over & putting it in the opposite way....hmmmmmm...hmmmmm maybe I should do that.

EDIT: Don't know if it was that or I was more patient because my 3 year old wasn't asking me 101 questions, but its in correctly now.

hey well since we're discussing air filters, which one should i get and y? AFE, GREEN, or K&N, and the AFE cost the most, if that matters.

If you believe what gets posted here...the going theme is that they are all the same and any kind of gains if any are minimal by switch to them from stock. I switched because I've always used K&N in my rides.

In other threads related to this issue, some have suggested that the MBZ service dept might frown on aftermarket filters. Some have also suggested keeping the factory filters and putting them in prior to taking the car to the dealer for service to avoid any issues. Anyone in this thread getting flack from the MBZ service dept for not using the factory filter?

Also, any significant MPG or performance boosts after installing the K&N filters?

after you install the K&N filter you get this crazy like less than 1hp boost!

dont look forward for HP gains or MPG gains. maybe 1hp out from K&N.
