cast wheels can crack if the force of hitting potholes are too great. Forged wheels usually only bend in this case and are usually easier to repair or just replace the bent part.

The only company that makes forged wheels, that I've heard a few problems about (w/ regard to finish not fitment) are iforged, however many people have iforged rims and have not had any problem with them.
No matter what, if you buy a multi piece (2 or 3) forged set of rims, they will most likely be better quality than a 1 piece cast iron/aluminum set of rims. Any "fitment" problems would be based on the wheel size, offsets, and tire size.

I like TSW wheels but their nickname is after all... "The Soft Wheel," so I think you should get your facts straight and do your homework first. I have always liked the way the catalunya's (top pic) look on a coupe. Don't waste your time either with some local shop.... contact the some of the sponsors here..... I know Neal from Euroteck and Evosport deal with them.... they will know of any fitment issues.

are the factory wheels on sports sedans (7-spoke older sport or 5-spoke newer sport) forged or cast? If they are cast, would TSW wheels be of lesser quality than factory MB wheels? ie. more prone to crack in a pot hole...etc. I was thinking about upgrading to the 19" AMG replica's by TSW.

The factory wheels on sport sedans, according to the mbusa website:
Wheels Standard aluminum-alloy five-spoke design. 7.5J x 17 front and 8.5J x 17 rear.

Didn't realize that Kinesis made 1 piece rims (I guess cuz I only looked at their multi-spoke rims).
