with rim pictures!
hey guys!...its been a long time...finally got everything on my car. just got the rims...
18" but i duno why i personally think they look bigger than 18...my friends thought they were 19s when they looked at it.
anyways...just a lil recap...tein Stech springs and koni adjustable shocks.
tire size 225/40/18 and rear 255/35/18
original spring pad. the car is 2002 c240 classic
picture of springs and shocks no wheel
front-side view of car
side view of car
this is stock height
two people in the back ( 2 guys)
3 guys in the back
rear lip
the install took a long time...the original nuts were too short because i used steel wheels! (the hub caps) and then the nuts that came with the wheels were too long. and then the nuts...there are two kinds...the ones that came with the wheels are cone shaped, so they had to use round ones....i really dunt know how to explain this maybe someone else can explain this. (if u understand me) so they had to used the round ones...they were the same length as the coned ones but didnt go in as much....BUT...they still had to grind down 2-3 threads on the rear because the offset was 35, front was fine, offset is 32 for front.
the height is perfect on the rear i just hope the front could be a tiny bit lower. cant wait til i get my CR-S bodykit! car is gona look soooooo good!.
i noticed a huge loss in power though...the wheels i have on are around 25-26 pounds....the front is about 1-2 pounds less...so im guessing i lost around 20-25 hp? according to other forums saying that for every 1 extra pound on your tire, u could lose up to 3-5hp, sometimes even 7 hp one for 1 pound...so im guessing around 20hp? but the car is very stable...steering is a bit heavy...havnet really noticed the cornering yet since the tires are still new...didnt want to go so hard on them! okay guys...hope that provided some information to u guys and enjoy the pix!

WARNING from TEIN...
I was just browsing through the TEIN website and I wanted to post this in this thread, just to make sure people don't get shafted. Apparently there are some companies that are making counterfeit S-Tech springs. Take a look at this webpage to watch out for counterfeit parts:

Tein Suspension
I just want to get some information from those people who are using Tein Coilovers (basic or super street) on their W203s. How is the ride? What are the pros and cons?

Haha - where's my TEIN people . The ride is just a tad bit firmer than stock - almost unnoticeable increase in stiffness say if your parents and friends happened to jump in someday... it'd still be comfortable, yet firm when you take the turns. GREAT value for the money as people will probably chime in.
They've been tested pretty thoroughly by now,

Have you seen the Group Buy?

Im running Tein Basics (from CarLAB) and they are the best bang for the buck. Like Flip said, it's a hair firmer than my sport suspension... most people don't even notice it.
If you had any doubt, don't worry... you'll love the ride comfort.
