water in the carpet
my dads c180k has water in the carpet that has been there for weeks it just keeps getting wetter and wetter anyone know anything about this problem it is on the carpet on the right behind the front seats

Water in carpet that has been there for weeks. Take care of it. It won't go away by itself.

After running my air cond. for long periods of time last summer, I found my right rear footwell ('05 C230K) was filling with water. The dealer reported that the A/C condensate drain had "come loose" and and the condensate was therefore not draining out to the underside of the car. Under warranty they replaced the interior carpeting entirely. This was a big job but they did it perfectly, thankfully.
When they fixed the drain, they then ordered the new carpeting which took several weeks to arrive from Germany. Even though it all seemed dry back there to me, they said the carpet padding was still wet underneath. Evidently it can take months to fully dry.
