I did mine once without knowing a thing about the process. I didn't even take the bumper all the way off. I pretty much squeezed everything in. Didn't plug a thing and no hissing... hmm..
Only thing is, i didn't put the bumper back together properly.. actually i couldn't even get the side bolts into the bixenons in as well as that funky clip that attaches the bumper and the fender together.
Overall, i have a slight gap around lights, but that's it.
Sufficient for now until i take it to a shop to fix all my little mistakes.

Pardon me, where is the drivers kick panel? Are u referring to under the dashboard?

Behind the drivers kick panel in the cable tray there is a line which is purple coupled with grey. Split the lines and install the plug in the relevant connector.
