I think that the standard lights are great, (despite claims of people saying that they aren't bright enough). I think that they are just trying to rationalize the fact that they just wanted their headlights to have a bluish tint.

Congrats on being bold enough to get the red. I was really stuck on the Mars Red but I went for my old standby of white.

Funny mine have worked flawlessly for three years!

RE-Agent, the MB ones do not really have much of a blue tint to them. But are a heck of a lot better than the frosted ones that came on the model year I have. The newer clear ones are much better light wise than the frosted but no real comparison to the Bi-X. At least in my opinion, I have driven ones with frosted and clear at night and compared to my Bi-X they really are a night and day diference in being able to see the road and objects off the edges.

True, the Bi-X might be better than the standard headlights but I think that the standard lights on the new models are pretty darn good. I've never thought that I don't have enough light to get me down the road at speed. I decided to spend the extra on options like the Nav system (need it as a Realtor) which some don't like but I love (because I read the manual and know how to use it) and the heated seats (need them because of wife) as well as a set of winter wheels that have been all but useless due to this mild winter. It is cool that MB gives us so many options instead of packages like see from so many other makes.

the 05+ standard lights i can stand, cause its clear, the 01-03 ones are foggy and i dun like as much, but bi-x are sexy looking

Well the stock lights are good of course. I just like the Bi-X lighting better. I have glasses and am noticing as I start to get older that at night my vision is not what it used to be. Not bad but of course I am not 16 again. So I really like the Bi-X. But to each his own. The stock ones light the road just fine in the newer models with the clear headlights. I do like the newer clear headlights compared to those fogged ones.

As for the Options. Yeah I got everything but the phone and nav. Do not really need the nav and I already had a better phone than MB offered at the time. I also change phones to frequently as well. And so does the wife. So it would have been a waste. The heated seats were a must though. My wife told me to get what I wanted so later I would not regret it. No matter what the extra cost for the car was. So I obliged. Now I never get to drive the darn thing. Except on weekends..... Women! Can't live with 'em and you can't fit them in a blender! That is why they rent Wood Chippers!!!

Mars red looks classier with a light coloured interior IMO BUT black interior is still very goo looking PLUS it makes a tint (if you plan on getting one) appear darker/deeper than it really is.

All that being said, if I had the ***** to order that colour, I would have gotten a black interioir too
