2001 C240, Service A and/or B Needed???
Just got the car and it has 80K miles on it. Is it necessary to get service A and B done to the car? how much does each cost approx? I am not sure if the previous owner had Service A done because now Service B is on the display and its showing two wrenches. I have been searching to see what Service B covers and its mostly "checking" different parts of the car. If the previous owner didnt do Service A i will defiantely want to get it done. Since i purchased the warranty up to 100K miles, are those Services included in that? I have not received the paperwork yet to explain about warranty. Thanks

If you have a message requiring service B, then either Service A was done 10K miles ago, or service A has been overshot by a few thousand miles. I assume it did not have any message on when you purchased and just recently came up, so then you need to do Service B.
In general, service is done every 10K miles, alternating between service A & B. Service B covers everything in Service A so there's no need to do both. If you don't do Service A in time, then it skips to Servcie B. If you drive very hard in extreme conditions, I think it would say service B as well. Bottom line: Get service B done now. I don't know how much it costs.

at 80K, it probably is service B.
costs vary by dealer. generally though:
Service A: ~$150
Service B: ~$250
call the dealer to get exact price. ask other dealers if you can as well to get a better deal.
