I don't think wheel spacers is dangerous, H&R make a good one.

xC240x used spacers on his car, 10mm front and 5mm back, doesn't seem like there's any problems. Don't forget that you may need to buy longer bolts to handle the increased distance from the mounting point.

you might want to call or email peter at the wheelexperts. tell him the exact wheel you are trying to fit.

i use a 12mm spacer for my front and a 10mm for the rear.

i think autowerksexpress has a pair of hubcentric 10mm spacers for $40 (?).

my situation is a little different. i had to use the front spacer for the wheel to clear my calipers, otherwise it will not fit.

since i didn't want my fronts to be too much wider than the rears, i spaced them out 10mm. i would have done them 12mm also, but 10 was already rubbing and i had to get the fenders rolled.

if you space them out, you will get a more aggressive look and marginally better handling. emphasis on the looks i do like the look much better with the spacer, it makes the car look wider.

again, i suggest you talk with a wheel person that is familiar with your desired setup.

If you get a rim with the higher offset you won't need different bolts as the thickness of the rims are the same between both offsets. The spacer makes the thickness of the mounting area greater by whatever you chose, 5mm or 10mm and you need a longer bolt which means there is more pressure on that bolts length, not a great idea if you drive over lots of bumps.

yes it will make you wheels stick out more (by whatever size you chhose).

i don't know what you mean by "wide enough." wide enough for your taste or wide enough that anymore would surely make it rub?

you may or may not need to get your fenders rolled. that depends if you get any rubbing affects.

rolled fenders do not look weird at all. for the most part, the rolling is transparent to the eye. if you feel the inside sidewall edge of your fenders, you will notice a lip. all rolling does is flatten out that lip. i must add that there are some that choose to be even more aggressive and not only flatten out the lip, but "pull" out the fenders a bit also. either way, i don't think it would look weird. i bet you have seen a number of cars with rolled fenders and never thought twice.

Well actually i'm going to roll my fender tomorow (friday), i think the maximum amount for C class fender that can be rolled is around 2 cm. It will not damage the structure of the car, but i don't think you can make the fender back on original size. There is one way though, crash your fender to the other car
