First ever w203 oem sunroof retrofit!

I would not buy an amg c32 or c55 for two reasons
1. Fuel consumption is ridiculously high, as taxes as well. I want only a 2 litre engine, more than enough for my needs. If there was an amg 2litre engine I would consider it as an option.
2. No manual gearbox option on a c32/c55 AMG. I prefer manual cars, they are so much fun to drive, I never liked automation in changing gears. I prefer me to decide when to change a gear and NOT the car computer itself.
This is only my opinion, different people have different viewpoints and needs. However there the fact is still the same. There is no amg car with 2 litre engine and/or manual gearbox.

With all the comment I just have to add my 2 cents worth. Wouldn't it have been easier to turn on the AC when it got too hot instead of going to all that trouble of installing a new sunroof?
Kudos to you for the knowledge & bravery to attempt such a feat on your car. Me I would have bought a new one. What is your next project?

All I can say is please use lots of lubricants, padding and make sure you limit rattles as much as possible. Retrofit is one thing but the finesse comes with making it noiseless.

I bet you'r ekeeping your fingers crossed for it to turn out OK. It most be a very painful experience to live the process. I would say that this is probably the hardest retro that anyone can do.

When you remove the complete roof assembly, aren't you suppose to cut the roof from the shell (I'm sure this is a wrong terminology - I don't know what this part is called); where pillars, windshield base, etc, met the roof?
