noob........please help
ok hello all of you lovely mercedes owners. Im new to this benz world,hence the name. I was curious what is the most inexpensive exhaust system for the c240(if there is one), and is it possible to make a custom system i.e. mandrel bent at a muffler shop. Anyway any input you guys could give me would be great. thanks

Welcome!!! I'm a newbie to this forum too but nobody Welcomed' me!! 
People here get busy and sidetracked at times (like most forums).
Anyhow....I think you would be better off by purchasing an exaust system from any of the Modifiers rathet than have your local shop fabricate one for you. I know Mercedes are picky with the parts that you install on them and a couple of dollars in savings could cost you tons later down the road. I wouldn't mind installing a custom exaust from my local shop on my Honda but wouldn't on my Benz.

Okay, so now that I've welcomed you, I'll also tell you to look at this forum:

After you watch the required movie, try the search function and you'll see all kinds of setups that have been "custom made" and mufflers that have been put on from major MB tuners (Lorinser, Carlsson, AMG, Brabus, etc...), and you'll also have the Euro tuners (i.e. Eisenmann, Remus, Sebring, etc...)
Some key search words to find what you're looking for: "exhaust" "custom exhaust" "muffler". Remember to isolate the search to the w203 forum.
So have fun with the search. Trust me, it does work.
