I thought our w202 sedans handled better then our w203 sedans, but I think my w203 coupe handles better then both of them.

We had a c280, c43, c320, and now have a c320 4matic. (all family cars, not mine, but I drove each regularly)

There are several flavors of non AMG W203 car suspensions. The sport suspension, the standard suspension, and then "direct control" versions of standard and sport. Direct Control is a marketing name for the various geometry and tuning changes made to the refreshed W203 and CL203 cars in 2005. A direct control car is definately better handling than the original design, hands down. It has a wider track, faster steering, less roll, better bushings, much better spring rates and host of other changes. A standard level direct control car handles just as good as the old sport suspension, probably better.

W202 isn't even in the running on this one. A C320 or C240 sedan with the original standard suspension feels like a wallowing pig compared to the direct control sport package setup. And yes, in general Coupes handle better because they all have the sport suspension, regardless of the year.

The coupes have the sport suspension because when ur drivin a C240/320 LS it feels as if ur driving a boat lol
