Filter Service for C320

Can anyone tell me where the active charcoal filter is located on my C320 wagon? Also, are there any other things that s/b replaced @ 45K miles besides the air filter and wiper inserts?

Thanks,
Alan

It's under the dash on the passenger side. There's a panel that is removed after taking out two screws. The filter is a two part set that is accesses by sliding a plate on the housing. The hardest part is reinstalling the vent tube you have to remove to get at the filter housing. 1/2 hour max. I really like the filter...especially living in SoCa...when you ride in a car that doesn't have one it is very noticeable. I understand they are removing it on some models going forward.
