Which Wire is Ground? Headlight/Foglight

Hi,

Sorry to bug you guys but I'm not an electrician and need some help. I'm installing HID Fogs and Headlights and just want to know on the Headlight and Foglight which color is positive and negative?

FOG = BROWN(negative?) AND GREEN
HEADLIGHT = BROWN(negative?) AND YELLOW

what annoys me is despite color code convention...it really is plural 'conventions'.
i hate it when i have a device and you know it's 12vdc and you're having
to sort out BLACK vs BROWN...., on a Mercedes. you'd think by now,
some electrical standard would have lessened this confusion. i guess from
their end, it's not.

All German cars since I've been alive follow a DIN standard specifies brown for chassis connections. Ford, VW, Audi, Porsche, BMW, & Opel follow this standard.

You guys are right. I did the install today and it worked out. I just had some trouble with the Foglights due to the location of the bulbs. I can't believe how MB made it this hard to reach the foglight bulbs. If I had bigger hands I know I wouldn't have been able to get to these bulbs without taking apart the bumper
