Question Shocks?

Hi all,
I'm looking for replacement shocks for my wife's C320 Sport. I've heard that Konis are available, but I can't find a rep with a firm answer...

I have H&R's, but I'm switching to Eibach springs also. I hope it will raise the height a tad and give the car a slight negative rake.

The tires are 235/19f, 265/19r, with HRE 540's.

Anyway's, question is: Bilstein or Koni shocks???

Many thanks!
Rob

That's a nice clean drop. I do know that Bilstein's working on a set of shocks (Carlsson lists them as a manufacturer for W203 shocks). Don't have Bilsteins, but they have a pretty strong record. Heard about Konis, but don't think they've been released yet. As far as I know, the only shock mods I've seen out is the H&R kit.

Koni's are NOT available. We have had them on order since January, and the date keeps getting pushed back. Last I've heard was October...

Thanks! I found out the hard way after the shop kept giving me the run around...I think I'll be inclined to go with the Bilsteins. I would love to be able to adjust the rebound when required, but I really don't want to make holes in the trunk for easy access, like I had to with my Civic-T.

Tire Rack is quoting October 2 availability for the Koni's. I am going for those with Eibachs. Should be a great setup for street AND autocrossing.

I hope so; I had a set of Koni adj. on my Civic...compression was great, but the rebound portion really sucked. I was not slammed; I had Eibach Pro-Kit springs and swaybars.

I'd like to replace the H & R's with a spring that give the car: a smooth ride; min. drop; and a slight negative rake...but not until they have shocks that are actually available.
