SLK AMG wheels on the C240?

I was looking at some AMG tires for my C240 at Progressive Auto in Westwood (Los Angeles), CA. The salesperson said I could fit brand new 17" SLK AMG 5 spoke wheels on my 2002 C240 with dunlop tires for $1800.

My question is has anyone tried this and confirmed that it works. Also is $1800 a pretty good price to pay for aftermarket AMG wheels? I am new at this.

the five double-spoke AMG rims from the SLK is the same style as the one that is used on C32 AMG, so what do you think?...sure it'll fit. as for the price, that is pretty much what everybody offers. you may be surpriced that the AMG rims are not pricy at all when compared with Brabus or Carlsson.

BTW you should read about the SIG policy of this forum. i don't think they allow personal ads

Make sure the 5 spoke wheel that the salesman talking about is the Style IV, thats the one for C32 and SLK32. Technically that should be called 5-double spoke. If he's talking about 5 spoke only, it might be Style I, which is the one used on CLK430s, then the price is not cheap at all.

actually my sister got the AMG thin spokes that is used on the 02 CLK430 for her CLK320 and the price was pretty similiar (around 1800 something too, include the tires 225/45 contisport 2) to the double spoke that is on our car.

Yeah, the 02 CLK430s have thin 5 spoke which is Style III. I think 01 or older CLK430s have regular 5 spoke (Style I). The Style I is worth nothing now.
