Thanks for the comment. The night shot was a hand held shot. I am going to do another on with the tripod and if it turns out better, I will post it.

Rain or Shine???

I just checked the weather, and it said isolated thunderstorms for Saturday. However we are in Texas and that weather report will change.

So we are planning on meeting up rain or shine, correct?

Correct. However, if the rain is pretty bad, we should probably not go on any scenic drives.........seeing how rain defeats the purpose.....and just make it a GTG minus drive.

Sounds like quite a few people are planning on going! I am unfortunately tied up that day and will not be able to make it. I won't even be able to make my normal Saturday morning golf with MB-BOB. If something changes though, I'll pop in.

I've been for a ride in Billy's (can drive 55) E55! It was a blast!

One more thing: I'm somewhat familiar with the area where the Fox Sports Bar is. Not a great place for parking and taking pics of the cars together.

We can go across to the Shops of Legacy to take pics....the Marriott Hotel is also there, and usually there are lots of spaces to park and take pics. I chose Fox Sports Grill mainly as a meeting point as well as a place to eat before we enjoy the rest of our day.

Exclamation Final Plans For 4/22 Gtg!

Hey guys,

These are the final plans for our GTG on Saturday, April 22nd

1.) PLACE: FOX SPORTS GRILL

2.) TIME: 1pm

3.) LIST OF MEMBERS COMING THUS FAR:

1. Cameron (TA-9FF)
2. David
3. (Hot girl)<-----unconfirmed
4. (Hot girl)<-----unconfirmed
5. Ricky
6. Steve
7. Melissa
8. Dan (HoustonC230)
9. Tim
10. Tim's Girlfriend
11. Billy (can drive 55) & Clair (unconfirmed at the present)
12. Bob (MB-BOB)
13. Jay J

I've made reservations for 16 at Fox Sports Grill, just in case we have a couple extra people showing up. For those who hasn't signed up yet and would still like to join us, shoot me a PM and we'll add more seats for ya.

We'll play the scenic drive thing by ear due to possible rainy weather. I doubt it'll rain, but with this city, you never know. However, let's try to keep the drive within 1-2 hours max, seeing how gas is ridiculously expensive right now, especially for us premium-gas only people!
Feel free to make suggestions for scenic drives, or we can talk about it during lunch!

On Sat, we'll meet up for lunch at Fox Sports Grill, then most likely drive across the street into The Shops at Legacy afterwards towards the kickass Marriott Hotel and (hopefully) all park together as a group. Then we can hang out, take pics, check out the stores/shop, and enjoy ourselves before our nice drive!

Our lunch spot:

Our after-lunch spot:

Arrow Drive Suggestions

My suggestion for the drive involves driving North to 455, either going East across I-75 and back down and around ending up at 380/75 again. Or, going West on 455 ending at I-35.

If the group would rather, we could take a slightly longer 2 hr route still starting off taking 455 but traveling Northward after crossing 75 and ending up in Sherman. ( 2hr's includes getting back to Plano afterwards )

Now I do not post actual routes online, simply because I like to keep them " less traveled" but I can assure you that they are fun roads, and if we go the Northern route you could wear some rubber off the edges of your tires... LOL

Just suggestions, I am willing to help where I can.

Steve

P.S. IF you have them, I would suggest bringing your FRS radio - makes the drives more fun and lets everyone talk back and forth , road conditions, etc... No one will get lost this way either... not that you would anyways, everyone's got Navi right? J/K

I'm totally up for the longer drive. Also, bringing a radio sounds like a really good idea. However, did you mean FRS? A quick check on radioshack.com shows one for only $20, definitely worth picking one up.

sounds like fun. I will try my best to make it and bring a date. By the way, Parkplace Motorcars give "free" carwash, we could get a was at some point durring the day too if we wanted to. I think the washes stop at 3pm though.

The "free" car washes are for clients who purchased their car from park Place ... just an FYI ... membership has it's advantages..
