Question about Recall?!?
As most of you guys know we got the recall notcie in the mail the other day for the airbags system to be replaced asap for the 05/06 c230.. I call my dealership today to make an appt, and they tell me they are booked for the next 2 weeks or so..and from what the letter and others said it should take about an hour or 2 to fix..
Now i thought this was something thatr had to be replaced asap because it could deploy at anytime or something. That would make them liable for something like this because they knew about the problem and didnt make a real effort to fix it..
I know it prob wont go off during that time, but it makes me a little worried i have to wait so long to get it fixed.. so is My dealer BS'n me and do they have to take the car when you bring it in? or do i really have to make an appt two weeks from now..

i went in just today to get my tire checked... while they were checking the tire, the tech just went ahead and did the airbag... it takes about 20 min (according to my time sheet i got back)... so just try talking to them in person...

https://mbworld.org/forums/showpost....0&postcount=11 - it was not a recall due to unexpected deployment. I own a 2006 under this recall and I'm not in a rush to have it done. Of course, I will eventually get it done but since I do not fall in the category described, it shouldn't affect me at all.

oh from the letter they made it seem like it was something that had to be done right away.. in that case then i will just make the appt and when i get there i get there... thanks for the heads up
