My car is not THAT Fast but its just funny how it was a class and i think it was GIRL ! -- I think stock my car was pushing something like 260- plus 2 mods i have done to it i have gain 10rwhp and 10 hp for the other--plus remember i dont have first gear start like the C class which sucks !
and Advans, my car has and will last longer then your CHRYSTLER ! haha
yeap mines a chrystler, its a european delivery program chrystler, ur right grandpa
What makes these Euro's faster? I've driven plenty of those, well actually mostly 560's (USA, not Euro), and they are anything but fast.
Also, as pointed out in plenty of other sections...if it ran 7.4 new, 20+ years later, even with the best of care, it's not going to run quite as fast. Wear and tare, etc (unless everything but the body is new).

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I'm pretty sure its more like closer to 7.
Here is an example of a European spec car. A 1986 300 SEL that I grew up in. My parents had it for 13 years with about 150k kilometer on it. Sold it in 98 two years after we moved to the US. Believe it or not, I went back to Taiwan in 2003 and saw the car with still the same old plate on the road. The second owner kept the car very clean. Picsture's taken from the trip around the Taiwan Island site seeing for a week that's why it's dirty.

and just for the record something that went from 0-60 in 7.4 second 26 yrs ago is most likely only able to do 10 plus second on the same run due to wear and tear on the engine, transmission, axels, etc. IF they are lucky that the car has no oil leak and other problems.
here's the spec for the 1980 "Euro" 500 SE www.einszweidrei.de/mercedes/500se1980-1.htm

But here's what I found on MB's site:
Acceleration1 0-60 mph in 7.2 seconds (manual), 7.5 seconds (automatic)
Link
Ha! Close to 7... well if you discount the auto and round down!!
