coupe's seatbelt reel back in?
does your seatbelt reel back in easily?
my seatbelt doesn't seem to reel back in very well when i'm exiting the car. the seat belt just flops there. a couple of times now, i didn't really look, and i went back to the car - the seat belt loop was hanging outside the door... (so, i've now resorted to sort of throwing the belt onto the front seat)
anyone else notice this?

Out Of Control!!
Yes, I've gotten out several times, and the belt has hit against the side of the car. So, now I hold it until it retracts as I leave the car.
Hey - it's less annoying than the "passive" belts that are attached to my crx's doors, so it's an improvement for me.
Don't know what you can really do about it, unless the '03's have different mechanism.

I have not experienced this problem..sounds like a trip to the dealer, maybe the spring mechanism is faulty or something is blocking it.
By the way, don't you think it would be good if MB fitted electric belts (i.e. belt delivered to you when you switch on the ignition.) like the CLK range. It's a little awkward to reach back to grab the belt sometimes!

No prob with mine either.
Latent, it is a pain to "do the twist". The Acura CL has a simple stationary plastic arm (also the seat-flip release) that sticks out to catch the belt so it's closer to the driver. I wish we had something similar.
