powered sub in a coupe.

How can this be done. I have a powered bazooka tube. 10 inch driver 150 watts rms, to put in the trunk of the coupe. do I need to take the input from the BOSE "Sub" and put it to the bazooka tube or is there another way.
Thanks guys.

Not sure if that would be enough to power your sub, I may be wrong

its not going to sound the best without an AMP. If u are looking for body shaking bass or at least bass u will feel, then i would first of all forget about a bazooka tupe sub.

Ohh... sorry about that i never knew that had an amp. It will still sound ok but that 150 watt is probally the peak power which it will never hit so the RMS will probally be around 75 watts. which is just ok. U will definitly hear lots of bass out of it just not to much to make anything shake like a 12' sub.

I asked this a long time ago and never got answered. Since you already have the sub, why not just go ahead and try it out? Take the 2 leads that go to the Bose sub and stick them into the speaker-level inputs on the sub. Mickey-Mouse the thing up to a car battery and check to see if it works.

is it hard to get to the inputs of the stock sub? I imagine that it should work. All these people here with custom stereos and no one seems to either want to help or cares to. I know someone knows the answer?

You have to remove the sub in order to get to the wires unless you can sneak your hand down through that access hole and unplug the connector (it's near the floor).

It took me about 30 minutes to remove the sub. It's not hard. You'll probably have to cut the stock connector off, but don't cut it off right at the connector. Leave some wire on the connector in case you have to splice it back onto the harness (if/when you put the stock sub back in).

i would answer for u but i dont know sh*t about installation of car steros. I know some stuff about them but not hooking them up. I had a stero shop do mine and it took them over an hour to do. so i am guesing its not the easyest thing to do.
