2005 Climate Control removal
I recently upgraded the analog climate control in my 2005 C230 K to a digital climate control. The instructions follow:
1. Open the ash tray cover and tilt it to gain access to the two screws securing the climate control unit. There are two screws securing the unit; one on the far left and one on the far right. Notice the location of the far right screw in the picture below.

2. Remove the two screws with a T20 tork bit screw driver.
3. Pull up on the climate control unit and the pull back to remove it.
4. Remove the four screws from the climate control unit to remove the unit from the outer bezel. See the location of the climate control unit's screws in the picture below.

5. To cable will have to be removed from the climate control unit. The large cable has a clip which must be released before the cable can be removed. Push down on the side of the plug to release the clip and then rotate it towards the unit. Notice the locations where the cables are pluged in on the climate control unit.
