hey guys..i was searching the forums for current HP gains for the 06 c230 ss and came across powerchip
Has anyone purchased their chip for the 06 SS c230 and notice a diffrence?
When you choose your car on their website they have a 2006 c230 but it doesnt say SPORT so is it the same car?
Also..i hear people talking about pulley kits and ect and i searched evosport but they dont have any pulley kits for the 06 right?? (just making sure)
Anyone else have any other information on gaining HP besides taking the back seats out and getting a CF hood haha

i checked under evosport for the chip but they dont seem to have it for the 230...it says All C230 Kompressor and the new 06's arnt kompressors i thought?...and the pully the same thing but i hear people talking about them all the time....on the powerchip website they have 2006 c230 but not the sport so i dont know if its the same version?

2006 C230 2.5 V6

The 2006 C230's are 2.5 V6 naturally aspirated ( no kompressor) no pulley required. Power chip has the ECU upgrade for this car as the only C230 made for 2006 is the "Sport"
I'm dying to chip mine just waiting to hear from someone how it benefited them. So if any of you have chipped the 2.5 V6, Please let me know.

I would like to chip my 07 C230 when i get it but i'm concerned about what it would do for the warranty does any one know

1) its void
2) dealer wont change it back, they want YOUR money and i dont think they even can
3) if you get it back to old way, you'll still have to go to another dealer, because it will be in the first dealer's computer system that your engine warrenty is void because of ecu reprogram...

Voided warranty
The warranty is only voided to the componet that it is directly related to. In a chip it would be powertrain. Then the manufacturer has to prove that the ECU upgrade directly caused the failure. Consumers will usually win and most car manufatures will fold before going to court. You are protected by I believe its called the Magnuson act. But if the dealer wants to be a dick it can get ugly.
