Has anyone tried running 255/35/19 on the rear? I know white_w203 has 245/35 on his 19x10's. I have a spare pair in my garage and was wondering if I would be able to mount the on a 19x10 rim 35 offset?

Mike, if you went with a 255/35R19, your rolling diameter would be 3.2 mph off from where the stock 17's were at. Another thing to consider is if you go to that setup, you have to make sure your front tires match your overall rolling diameter, so that they are rolling at the same rate (or as close as possible). That being said, the ideal front setup with the 255/35R19 Rear is most likely 225/40R19 for the Front. Just keep in mind that this still puts your speedo at 3.2 mph slower than the speed you are actually travelling.

I never really understood the whole speedo thing. Not sure how the other mercedes could run 18's or 19's in the front and 19's or 20's in the rear. I know the MAE cars run setups like that. Wouldn't that throw off the ESP? One question If you are streching the tire sidewall wouldn't it make the overall diameter less?

Good question. I'm not actually sure if it would in fact change the diameter at that point. My initial thought would be that it won't change the diameter that much, however, you are stretching the rubber width-wise, so conceivably the middle portion of the tire would decrease, thereby making the diameter change. Interesting thought. Maybe someone else, who's changed their tire sizes before or someone with more knowledge on it can chime in? This is a little over my "knowledge" at this point.
