How does the dash and trim come apart in a 2005 W203?

Hi all,
I have search the forum endlessly. I know there is links to how to take everything apart but I can only find link for the prefaclifted model not for 2005.

I want to install my comand system and I do have an idea of how to take everything apart following the pre April 04 instruction but wanted to know if there is detailed info on the current one? And also what order do the parts come off in and which ones need to come off to get to the stereo?

Thanks heaps.

The center AC vent has two T20 screws that you will need to remove to release the center AC vent then you will be able to remove the upper panel to gain access to the radio's screws. The two following post provide more detailed information about how to access the AC vent's screws and removal of the A/C vent, upper panel, and comand:

Hope this information helps.

Just curious, are you installing the MCS 2 comand or the euro command and did your buy it from the dealer or MBenzNL?

Good luck.

Thanks for that, helps heaps.
Should be ok, I just want to make sure and get as much info as I can before I start.

The comand system I got was from Ebay. I have tried other sources but didnt want to spend that much. Going through MBENZNL would be the best option for sure but my budget did not stretch that far at the moment. Will try and do it all myself and see how it goes. I will creat a post with step by step instructions once it is done. Going through ebay is a big risk but I have bought it from someone in Lithuania who sells just navigation systems and has very good feedback ratings. It is out of a crashed MB and is in near perfect condition. It is a Euro Comand.

For the pre April 04 W203

If anyone knows of the same thing for the current W203 would be great.
