kleemann boost kit
I'm waiting for my ASP pulley to arrive, but with all of this talk of ECU settings and A/F ratio's it's made me a little nervous so I decided to check out some other options. Kleemann makes a boost kit for the 02 C230k and here are the results.
If anyone has one of these kits, let me know how you like it. Any thoughts. Price is $899

How does the car feel after installing the Kleeman kit? I asked Kleeman a question a while ago regarding the A/F ration after installing the pulley but nobody got back to me. Did you have a change to talk to them? I’m looking to get a pulley but still not decided which one to get. Who installed it on your car.
Thanks

The pulley upgrade feels great. No problems, noises, or strange events to speak of. The engine feels smooth, and the added Torque is a blast. I drove around yesterday with the ESP off, chirping my tires between gears. It was fun. It’s exactly what this car needed, a little more torque to overcome its weight. I can’t wait to get my suspension upgrades installed later this week. Hopefully it will balance the car out, and eliminate the body roll.
Actually met a Tech from my local MB dealer and he did it on his own time. A lucky find as he is also doing my suspension upgrades later this week.
I did talk to Brandon, KLEEMANN, about the A/F and intake temp concerns I had. He is great to talk to and really knows his stuff. Based on where I live and the readily available 93 Octane in my area he recommended the Stage II Fuel Quantity Setting and the 93 Octane Setting for the ECU adaptives. My MB Tech also though that the Stage II Fuel setting should help balance the A/F out after adding the pulley.
Brandon also helped recommend the Spring and Sway bar setup I am installing. We discussed my needs and wants and suggested the setup I ordered. He appears busy and sometimes difficult to reach, but it’s worth talking to him about your needs and concerns. That’s the value-add Tuners provide, so take advantage of it.
I don’t really have easy access to a dyno, but the car feels so smooth and responsive across the entire band, that I believe all is running well. I will leave it to the more technically capable to dyno their cars and evaluate the results.
