need opinions on custom wheel job- photoshop included
Okay, so this is a VERY unorthodox setup. I have these wheels that need to be stripped of their clearcoat and repainted. So, I'm thinking about my options and getting pretty crazy with it. I may even go so far as to hand polish parts of the wheels. Here's my current idea, with the silvery areas polished (but you cant tell because I don't know how I would "polish" them in photoshop)

I'm not liking it as my own opinion, but if its something you have been thinking up because you like that then by all means, we are all trying to mod or rides to how we like it. Doesn't fit the typical MB styling

Well you have a good idea but a terrible follow through. AC Shnitzer's new wheels for the M6 have partially polished parts. It produces a pretty nice effect. But the rim is 20in so that definetelly helps.

The only advice I'd give you is since you have photo choped what you might light to do is to maybe look at this picture several times before you proceed and then if you still find this to be pleasing to YOU then go for it, good luck with your choice.

There are a LOT of issues with going that high- ride quality, danger of bending a rim on a pothole, they're SLOWER, etc. 18 is pushing it but if the wheels I want only come in 18+ then I might go to 18s. And, I don't foresee a drop comming anytime soon. Already screwedup my car enough times in parking lots. Hadmy bumper RIPPED OFF once because it got caught on a parking strip thing.

if ur willing to drop these wheels, do either a bright silver finish...or the popular diamond black/gunmetal center with chrome/polished lip. and when you sell it, it'll go out quick
well, i'm sooner or later gonna powder coat my stock 7 spokes, see how the "coating" works out, and when my current wheels F-up, I might coat them also!

I am NOT going over 18. I'd rather stick with 17 but I may go 18.
I CANNOT stick with what I have. I HAVE to replace at least one wheel (due to damage), and I cannot find one identical to what I already have on the car.
